First Taos baby of 2017 arrives
Holy Cross Hospital welcomed the first baby of 2017 to the ranks of Taos residents Jan. 2.
Alexandra and Oliver Collignon are the parents of newborn boy Leo Wrigley Collignon, born at 3:14 p.m. and weighing in at 8 pounds, 5.1 ounces.
Holy Cross had baby baskets waiting for the new year babies with donations from local businesses Cid’s, Gorge Bar & Grill, Twirl, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Mitchell Theatres and Domino’s. Holy Cross donated items like diapers, baby socks and handwoven sweaters.
“I was so touched with the heartwarming generosity many local Taos businesses demonstrated when asked to contribute gifts to the new year newborns,” said Monica Griego, community benefits manager with Holy Cross.
