Taos Burger King closes
Signage has been removed at the location.
The sign on the door says the restaurant is closed.
If you get a hankering for a Whopper, you'll have to drive a little further now.
Taos' only Burger King, located at 710 Paseo del Pueblo Sur, appears to have closed its doors for good. The Burger King is located in the busy shopping center development that includes Albertsons and Taos Herb Co., among other stores.
The neon sign has been removed and a sign on the door says, "The Restaurant is Closed."
It's not known why the Burger King closed, or how many employees worked there. Messages to the Burger King media relations department have not been immediately returned to The Taos News.
The nearest Burger King to Taos is now in Española, at 701 North Riverside Drive.
