Thanks for support at science fair

Dear Taos High School science department,Taos Soil and Water Conservation District, LMNOC Broadcasting and the readers of The Taos News:

Thanks to these fine organizations for supporting the Ranchos Elementary School science club and the Ranchos Elementary School science fair. The fair was held Dec. 21. Over 65 Taos High School students supported almost 200 elementary students as mentors with their work in science and engineering.

Special thanks should go to Julianna Matz at the high school and Ernest Lopez from Taos Soil and Water. Also, we thank LMNOC Broadcasting. Our students spoke on every one of their affiliated stations about their efforts.

Congratulations to the winning entries in third through fifth grades, especially to high score scientist Alexandra Martinez who earned 96 points of 100.
