The wait is over: Michael's Kitchen open after annual break
An iconic Taos community diner, Michael’s Kitchen, reopened Dec. 16 at 7 a.m. after its annual fall break.
“Michael’s Kitchen is a huge community player and folks have been counting the days till we open,” said Jamie Tedesco of ZAP Marketing Partners. Michael’s Kitchen is one of his clients.
“We are one of the busiest restaurants and meeting places in Taos and serve between seven to 1,200 people a day, depending on season and holidays,” Tedesco said.
Although it was a rainy opening, the crowds showed up for Michael’s food, which features a wide variety of New Mexican food and bakery items.
Michael’s Kitchen has been in business since 1974. Derek and Gina Apodaca bought the restaurant in 2005.
