Town adds ‘Home for the Holidays’ matinee slot
By popular demand, the town of Taos has added a matinee performance for the “Home for the Holidays” concert Dec. 17. The matinee will be at 2 p.m. The evening performance begins at 6 p.m.
Both shows will feature performances by Michael Hearne, Robert Mirabal, Chris Arellano and Max Gomez at the Taos Community Auditorium, located at 145 Paseo del Pueblo Norte. The show is the subject of this week’s Tempo magazine cover story in The Taos News.
According to Mitch Miller of the town of Taos, tickets went fast, which prompted plans to add the matinee.
The concerts are free, but admission is by ticket only. Tickets for the matinee will be available at the Taos Visitor Center on Dec. 16.
“I am going to fashion a way that some tickets will be available later in the day for those who get off work in the afternoon or allow call-ins for later pick up,” Miller said in an email to The Taos News. “There is a limited amount of seats, and I believe there are many people that would like to make this event.”
Although managed by the Taos Center for the Arts, the Taos Community Auditorium is owned by the town of Taos. For more information, call Miller at (575) 751-2001 or email rmiller@taosgov.com.
