Update: Vehicle crash in Ranchos injures four
A two-vehicle crash on State Road 68 near County Road 110 in Ranchos de Taos stalled southbound traffic in the mid-morning hours Dec. 19.
A Toyota Camry and a Jeep SUV apparently collided sometime around 10 a.m.
Members of the Taos Fire Department, New Mexico State Police and Taos County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were on the scene.
By about 11 a.m., southbound traffic was backed up about a quarter mile from the turnout for County Road 110 – a main thoroughfare for the UNM-Taos campus and Taos Country Club, as well as a large residential area.
Joaquin Gonzales, director of Taos County's EMS (ambulance) department, said four individuals were transported to Holy Cross Hospital. He said there were two minors and two adults, all with minor injuries.
The accident is now cleaned up and traffic is flowing as normal, Gonzales said.
The Taos Fire Department said the crash is still being investigated.
