‘Urban wapiti’ seen off Cruz Alta Road

Recently, we featured an image of a herd of elk off Cruz Alta Road in Taos by Taos News photographer Katharine Egli.
This new image came to us from Bill Adkison of Taos.
“The elk were out later in the day Dec. 11 due to overcast conditions, and the lighting was wonderful,” said Adkison.
He describes the scene as a sighting of “urban wapiti.”
