‘White’ hostility causes regret

How long does a white, middle-aged, single man have to dwell amongst the hostility of the “real locals” before the phrase, “You’re white” has run its course? Not only making me feel like a minority for once in my white privileged life, but making me regret moving here in the first place?
It seems Taos County and Northern New Mexico, in general, is run by politically correct Hispanic Democrats. But the underlying current says, “Whitey, go away!”
Even the smug, ingratiating smile of our former mayor tells the tale. Go away, white boy. I haven’t met the current figurehead for the left in our fair town, but I’d imagine I’d go to the end of the application line, were I to go to the shop seeking work. Well done, comrades. Where’s the bread line?
